Lady Gaga as “Jo Calderone”: Brilliant Performance…or Triggered Alter?

01 Sep

In recent weeks Lady Gaga has decided to grace us with yet another side of her. A masculine side. She introduced to the mass media ‘Jo Calderone’. He’s a New Millennium version of a ‘Greaser’ from the mid 50’s.

Either Gaga has had some of the best acting lessons, and all of the reporters were paid actors, or Gaga wasn’t even in the BUILDING!!! I mean this chick was a straight ‘DUDE’ the entire night. She never broke character, not even after the After-After-the-After Party party!!!

Check out her, er, uh, his performance during the MTV 2011 VMA’s.

And look at what she did during Britney Spears’ Tribute.

Need I say more?

Hmmm…Calderone sounds a lot like the word “Cauldron”. Here’s what Wikipedia defined Cauldron as:
Cauldrons have largely fallen out of use in the developed world as cooking vessels. While still used for practical purposes, a more common association in Western culture is the cauldron’s use in witchcraft—a cliché popularized by various works of fiction, such as Shakespeare’s play Macbeth. In fiction, witches often prepare their potions in a cauldron.

In some forms of Wicca (also known as Pagan Witchcraft) which incorporate aspects of Celtic mythology, the cauldron is associated with the goddess Cerridwen. Celtic legend also tells of a cauldron that was useful to warring armies: dead warriors could be put into the cauldron and would be returned to life, save that they lacked the power of speech. It was suspected that they lacked souls. These warriors could go back into battle until they were killed again. In Wicca and some other forms of neopagan or pagan belief systems the cauldron is still used in magical practices. Most often a cauldron is made of cast iron and is used to burn loose incense on a charcoal disc, to make black salt (used in banishing rituals), for mixing herbs, or to burn petitions (paper with words of power or wishes written on them).

**Cauldrons symbolize not only the Goddess but also represent the womb (due to the fact that it holds something) and on an altar it represents earth because it is a working tool. Cauldrons are often sold in new age and metaphysical stores and may have other symbols of power inscribed on them.**
    Maybe just coincidence…huh? NOT…

Alter on full display. It is very disturbing that she would be pimped out in this way.

If it was an alter she being toutured why more I thought. I finally watched all of the VMA’s and your right Butta she didn’t skip a beat and at first was annoyin but now that I think about it it was just sad.

Howdy! Thanks for posting about this, tho’ i figured you would! 🙂 My first thought about her hosting as “Jo” was that it was an alter. In the Illuminati world, duality is the quest, and the goal. The melding of opposites to unite as a whole. I felt that this was her way of showing that she has been successful.

Of course, there’s also the whole androgeny/gender bending thing we see a lot of too…How many lil’ gals are going to spend time trying to look like boys now that their big idol of the minute is doing it?

    Anyway….just thinkin’…

Got something to say?
